Dynamic Photo HDR Version 4 Beta
Oscar has just announced an early beta of DPHDR 4 which is available for download from usual Mediachance forum.
Here's some of the new features that are included
Post Editor - you can choose Process & Edit and it will open processed image in a Post Editor for all the common basic image touch up and tons of effects (it also supports adobe plug-ins). The Post editor runs in a separate thread, so you can both process a new image and edit the previous image at the same time. You can leave it open and it will then catch all incoming DPHDR tonemapped images. The Post Editor during save will copy Exif data from original file and create new EXIF Thumbnail. To switch between post editor and normal save look for the arrow next to the Process & Edit button.
Live Preview (speed up of the preview) - now you see a realtime image feedback when moving sliders (can be switched off with the red LIVE button)
Dynamic light slider is now divided into two halves, one for very fine precise movement (slider) and a rough setup (bars). This way it is possible to set the image feel in very precise details also with realtime preview.
The Quick browser now shows also RAW files
Some small things here and there
It is a beta, so you know the usual rules. Oscar reckons the beta will install in it's own directory so you can run your existing version of DPHDR along side it.
There's no mention of the upgrade path yet.
I've tried it already and the post processing editor looks good
Mike
