One old image

Years ago when I didn't do any HDR nearly everything I did was architecture type shots. Last night I was bored and thought I'd have a play. The image below was shot in RAW. What little of the sky there was was totally greyed out so whatever that had to be replaced. Anyway to cut a long story short Using Melanie's setting from her tutorial I processed the 1 RAW in PhotoMatix, Passed it through ACR with more or less the settings Melanie suggested. Then some final work in Photoshop. Not strictly HDR I know but using the tools for HDR you can get some weird effects.
