New York New York Hotel (Las Vegas) 2 versions

3 shot HDR's taken from across the strip from NYNY. This shot is heavily backlit from the sun as you can see, particularly above/beside the Rok night club, but I think it turned out pretty good. The photos were taken at 18mm and were hand held (no tripod). I put 2 versions, 1 a bit more aggressive than the other, too bad the halo increases in version 2 as I like it best other than that. Comments welcome, and I appreciate you taking a look. Mark

Thank you Kate! I added a more aggressive 2nd version to the 1st post above to see which version others would prefer.

I actually really love the first one. The sky is great. In the second one I think it distracts the eye with the way the blown out sky is ya know? I had that issue last night and it really kept catching my eye and I couldn't focus on my subject. I love it!! Nice work.

Kate, thanks again for the compliments. I went back and edited version 2 again, this time trying to make the sky a little less distracting as you were definitely correct about the first Version 2. Now I'm not sure which I like better..... I probably still favor Ver. 1, but this Ver. 2 is better than the old one.....thanks again for your comments.

Apart from the pale sky, I like the original best.
