[b] Hello, I'm George from Kansas City. First saw Melanie's excellent work on a photo critiquing service. Got tired of photographers who lack HDR skills knocking those who are adept at this new and exciting technique. Usually will say something like "the work is overprocessed". They then use "psychobabble" to rationalize their ignorance. Had mentioned that there should be an HDR forum. Melanie listened and formed one. Good to be here.

I am enthralled with the whole 'look' of HDR, but am entirely new to it, with "life" getting in the way of how many photo's I'd like to take. And let's face it...... 'work' is WAY overrated.
I look forward to finding time to get back to this site and other sites, to try to learn the language of HDR. It far better replicates the scenes as my eye see's them, when I get ready to compose a photo.

Hello, my name Josy,I'm from ... (where?) oh yes at the moment living in Ireland (long moment though ... last 8 years...) and hooked onto photography in the last few years and tried new techniques but the most excited about at the moment is HDR (but at the very begining of this lesson) and two people suggested this site recently so ... here I'm and hope to spend many interesting hours producing my HDRs.So let's start it ... I'm ready to learn...., and my best regards to all of you. JX cheers

Hello everyone, my name is Gabor. I am from my newborn HDR world wich is situated in Hungary. I gave up my engineering work in my young age in the light of the press photographer work but I did not regret it. I am a retired journalist already and I enjoy the photography again.
Thanks for letting me know about this site Melanie
Have a good lighting and shine.

Hi, my name is Dave Rhuberg, from Lenoir NC, USA.
I shoot Nikon, and do HDRI with CS3, Photomatix, FDRtools, and HDRVR with CubicConverter and Photosphere.
I've been learning HDRI since 2007, really getting better since getting the HDRI Handbook and Practical HDRI books.
I think I do the HDRI exposure really well, learning more about tone mapping and choosing a good composition.
I've been looking for a good serious HDR community, others I've found have been caught up in faux-HDR tone mapping.
thanks,
DAVE RHUBERG
